Terms for the Restaurant guide's gift card app

The gift card is good as means of payment at a larger number of restaurants, hotels and spas in Sweden and Denmark which all are presented in the Restaurant Guide's gift card app. The following terms applies.

1. Period of validity

The period of validity for the gift cards are 12 months from the date of purchase. The date is presented under "My cards" in the gift card app. If the app is charged with more than one gift card, automatically the deductions will be made from the oldest gift card first. Gift cards that has passed the period of validity with less than one month can be prolonged once with another 12 months against an administration fee of 20%. The gift card is then prolonged with 12 months from the date of prolongnation. Gift cards that has passed the period of validity with more than one month can unfortunatelly not be prolonged. The administration fee is deducted from the gift card at the time of prolongnation.

2. Places of validity

Here is a current list presented that shows all restaurants, hotels and spas that honor the gift card. No other restaurants, hotels or spas than thoose on the list will honor the gift card.

3. Redemption of gift card​

The gift card can be used at unlimited number of occations at any of the locations mentioned in section 2 above, as long as there is money left in the gift card. The minimum deduction is 200 SEK. At the time of purchase the value is noted in Swedish and Danish currency and it is saved in the app. The value is automatically rounded off to the closest ten in each currency. Deductions are made in the current currency that is valid in the country of deduction. Neither credit notes or cash can be refunded.

4. Offers​

Many of the different locations that honor the Restaurant Guide's digital gift cards present unique offers in the gift card app to the holders of the gift card. Theese offers may vary during the gift cards period of validity. It is therefore reommended to check current offers close to the actual visit so that the risk that the offer will have changed is as small as possible.

5. Coroprate gift cards

If the receiver of the gift card has received a so called corporate card many of the locations in the search results will be presented with a "F". At theese locations every deduction will automatically be worth 10% more than the actual deduction. For example a deduction of 500 sek will be worth 550 sek at theese locations. At some of theese locations it is not possible to combine the extra value with lunch or other offers. The app will tell where it works.

Terms of purchase and delivery for the Restaurant Guide's gift card

Prices & Fees​​

All prices are presented in currency of choice and is including VAT and other fees. The total cost for the purchase will be clearly presented before the final order and will include all costs associated with the purchase, including any postage and shipping costs. 

In addition to the total amount for the selected number of gift cards postage and an administration fee of 30 SEK per order will be added if you choose to send the card as letters. Orders that should be sent via email or SMS has no extra administration fees so in such cases you only pay the total amount for the selected number of gift cards.

1. Delivery time​

Text & mail
Orders that are to be sent as text or mail is delivered at time of choice choosen at time of purchase. The texts and mails will be sent at choosen point of time but exact time of delivery may vary depending on mobil operator and mail client.

Printed gift cards​
Orders of regular printed gift cards that are plced befor 5 pm on weekdays will be shipped the same day. Delivery within Sweden will be the following weekday. Delivery of regular printed gift cards to receivers in Denmark usually takes two weekdays. During the month of July one weekday delays may occur. In urgent cases please feel fre to contact us. For companies that order our corporate gift cards with printed greetings the time of delivery is usually the same as for the regualr gift cards.

2. Confirmation of order

When we have received your order we will immediately send an order confirmation with all information of your order. It is recommended that you save your order confirmation to have at hand if you contact our customer service.

3. Choice of payment​​

We offer five different choices of payment:

1. Invoicing for both businesses and individuals (NOTE customary credit check)
The invoice is sent as a PDF via email. The invoice must be paid within 10 days from the invoice date. If late payment and reminder by email is sent a fee of 45 sek will be added. In case of debt collection a statutory debt collection fee of 180 SEK will be added.

2. Credit card
Presently we accept VISA and Mastercard. Credit card payments are handled by our payment partner Netaxept to guarantee swift and safe payments.

This is how the credit card payments are done:

  • Choose credit card as type of payment. You are then transfered to Netaxept's safe payment server
  • Choose type of credit card, state card number and date of validity
  • A control is made to check the card information and to make sure that there are funds for the purchase
  • The money will be reserved in your account. That means that You can not access the money but that they still haven't been transfered to the Restaurant Guide.
  • The same day that we send your order the money will be transfered via Netaxept to the Restaurant Guide.

3. Cash on delivery (only in Sweden)
We send your order as cash on delivery. This means that you pay for the order at the Postal office closest to your home address. The Postal office fee for cash on delivery will be added to the order.

4. Swish (only in Sweden)
If you have a Swish account you can pay for your order with your Swish app. You will receive an order number from us that you present at the time of payment with our Swish account and the total order value. The order will be sent as soon as we receive the money transfer.

5. MobilePay (only in Denmark)
If you have a Swipp account you can pay for your order with your Swipp app. You will receive an order number from us that you present at the time of payment with our Swipp account and the total order value. The order will be sent as soon as we receive the money transfer.

4. Delivery costs for the printed gift cards

The printed gift cards are sent according to the purchasers choice either as a regular letter or by cash on delivery.

Postage
Postage is calculated for every order and it is presented at the confirmation of the order.

Cash on delivery
The Postal Office's fee for cash on delivery is 95 sek. To this suitable postage will be added according to the Postal Office postage table. The fee for any eventual cash on delivery will be added to the order value at the time of the order.

Invoice
If choice of payment is invoice and the delivery address and invoice address differs one extra postage will be added to the order value.

5. Delivery​

If the gift cards are damaged during delivery the Restauant Guide is liable. It's mandatory that you contact our customer service within 14 days of delivery. If a gift card is damaged or lost during a eventual refund you are liable.

If for some reason a cash on delivery has not been collected at the Postal Office we will send an invocie for all cost associated to such a return thru a fee of 150 sek, see section 4 above. Payment shall be done within 10 days from date of invoice.

6. Right of withdrawal​

You have the right to return ordered gift cards. Notice of this must be provided immediately upon receiving the goods or within 14 days of delivery at the latest. The notification must be made by email to info@restaurangguiden.com or by letter to:

The notification must contain the order number and invoice number. Return the gift card with the invoice (or a copy of it). Do not forget to fill in the reason for return on the back of the invoice. You must pay for the return postage. Returns can not be made as cash on delivery. We confirm your purchase withdrawal no later than the day after we got the item returned.

7. Complaints and returns​

We guarantee that the gift cards that you have ordered is good as means of payment at all restaurants, hotels and spas that are listed here. The period of validity for the gift cards are 12 months from the date of purchase. If you have any problems using the gift card you should contact our customer service as soon as possible, no later than within 14 days. If we do not solve this problem in a satisfactory way, you have the right to return your gift card. We accept the complaint and send you a postage-paid return letter. Return the gift card together with the invoice (or a copy of it). Fill in the cause of the return on the back of the invoice.

NOTE! Before returning a gift you must contact Customer Service to get the return approved and the return postage paid. The responsibility for errors in ordered products is limited to the terms now stated.

8. Lost gift card

If the mobile phone that the gift card app is downloaded into is broken, lost or stolen, you can block our gift card. Blocking is made via email to info@restauranggudien.com. We will then issue a new code for a gift card of the same value that was left on the old card's balance. Any withdrawals made between when a phone is stolen or lost, and the time that we have the request for the blocking of the card will not be replaced.

9. Security

We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), a protocol for secure transmission of data via the Internet (or other networks). SSL is the industry standard and was developed by Netscape Communications. The SSL protocol processes the data in different ways and encrypts the information. Encrypted data can not be read by outsiders. When data is received by the receiver the SSL puts the data back in its original order, make a check so the sender is correct (Server Authentication) and verifies that the data has not been altered during transmission (message integrity). The SSL uses digital certificates to verify the sender and / or recipient of the data transfer.

All SSL certificates for the Internet is operated by companies that are certified certificates creators. This also means that all SSL certificates are unique and properly issued. All applicants for SSL certificates must prove their company or their own identity in order to purchase an SSL certificate.

The requirement for the consumer to use SSL, is that their web browser can handle SSL, which most do. In addition, that SSL is not turned off in your browser settings.

10. Personal information

We process personal data in accordance with Personuppgiftslagen (PuL). Information that can be linked to you as a person will never be available to other businesses or be linked to other, external registers.

11. Choice of jurisdiction​

Any dispute under these terms shall be governed by Swedish law.

The Restaurant Guide follows the Swedish Consumer Agency's recommendations. You can find more information here!

12. Changes

Modifications of these terms may occur.

Internet payments via Netaxept

Internet payments must be safe. The security shall include both you as the buyer, as well as the selling company. Nets have developed a service for secure Internet payments; Netaxept.

Credit card payments:​
Once you have selected what you want to buy, choose the credit or debit card you want to pay with. You fill in the information as the seller asks you, card number, expiration date and possibly a security code. All information is transmitted encrypted (in an unreadable form) which means that the information is "confidential" and inaccessible to outsiders.

Is it safe to pay by credit card over the Internet?
In reality, there is no risk with card payments over the Internet. That the card number would be intercepted as it passes over the Internet and then abused is basically only a theoretical risk. It would mean so much work just to "catch up" the card number right in the eyes blink when it goes over the net. In addition, powerful encryption and authentications are used during the transfer of the payment transaction. It is these security solutions that makes intrusions virtually impossible.

The risk that someone would come over your card number is much larger in ordinary businesses! If, contrary to expectation, you should be subjected to unauthorized purchases, you just need to contact your bank / card issuer.

Verified by Visa is Visa's commoditization of the 3-D Secure standard for secure identification of card customers for online purchases.

Card issuers who have offered their card customers this service will be able to identify and verify card customer's identity in a secure manner.The card customer will be linked to their card issuer to present their username and password.
